CAPELA, Filomena. Jean-Pierre Bemba Gombo vs the prosecutor: mirror game in the International Criminal Court. []. , 54, pp.73-88. ISSN 1645-9199.  https://doi.org/doi.org/10.23906/ri2017.54a06.

This article seeks to present the case of Jean-Pierre Bemba – the charismatic leader of the Movement for the Liberation of the Congo (MLC), who has been convicted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) to 18 years in prison for the involvement of his army in the Central African Republican conflict president – as it has been built by the ICC, confronting this narrative with other perspetives that sustain the process had essentially political motivations. In addition, it will also contextualize the leader of the MLC's role in the recurrent conflicts in the Great Lakes region and follow some of the connexions that preceded this process but may help to understand some of the positions adopted by the parties.

: International Criminal Court; Jean-Pierre Bemba; Central African Republic; Democratic Republic of Congo.
