Transformations at work at the end of the 20th century intensify the demands on the psychic life of workers. The Covid-19 pandemic brings new challenges, increasing complaints of mental illness among workers, and restricting intervention possibilities. This text aims to discuss whether it is possible to align brief online psychological support practices with the perspectives of Ergopsychology and clinics of work. Experiences of brief online psychological support for public security, and social care workers, made available in the scope of a professional internship in psychology, are analyzed. It is concluded that: interventions are relevant for workers suffering in acute situations; the initiatives are aligned with Ergopsychology as they seek to understand suffering based on experience at work; the appointments are sources of information about working conditions that generate suffering; experience is important in the students’ training as it awakens a clinical view of work issues involved in mental health.
