This study analyzed the relationship between work and health of COVID-19 frontline healthcare workers. 108 professionals from the state of Paraíba participated through a questionnaire aimed at characterizing the health, organization and working conditions, and the access to training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) of these professionals. The results, analyzed through the lens of the Activity Clinic, indicate that the workers experienced unsatisfactory working conditions and a work organization that did not prioritize mental health nor offered enough courses and training to act with COVID-19. In addition, there was little social recognition, low remuneration of these professionals and problems in the management of the pandemic by the government and health institutions, which negatively impacted the work activity of these workers.
