MOLPECERES, Ana María Velasco. Monarchy and media: from the Spanish transition to democracy to Corinna zu Sayn-Wittgenstein. []. , 12, 3, pp.122-137. ISSN 1646-5954.

The aim of this text is the study of the relationship between the media and the Spanish monarchy. This work focuses on the Spanish publication Vanity Fair and the reports covering the relationship between Juan Carlos I and Corinna zu Sayn-Wittgenstein. The objectives are to identify the editorial line of VF about the Royal House and to investigate the conflicts between journalism and democracy in Spain (censorship and self-censorship). The main hypothesis of this article is that the inviolability that surrounded the crown since the Transition has been disappearing. In this new media scenario, we situate the reports about the king and his friend who published VF in numbers 46 and 56 (studied through Textual Analysis), after the accident in Botswana in April 2012.
