BRAGA, Sandrina Figueiredo et al. Pseudo aneurysm of the anterior tibial artery. []. , 8, 4, pp.181-185. ISSN 1646-706X.

Traumatic injuries are very common, accounting for 2.6 million hospitalizations per year in the United States. The incidence of arterial injuries following penetrating trauma of the limbs is about 10%. Vascular trauma occurs more often in the lower extremities. The presence of pulsatile hematoma after penetrating trauma should raise the suspicion of false aneurysm, which occurs by partial arterial laceration. The authors describe a case of a 16 years-old patient treated by false aneurysm of the anterior tibial artery.

: false aneurysm; pseudoaneurysm; anterior tibial artery; arterial injuries; trauma.
