This research aimed to identify the possible positive influence of the application of knowledge management practices (KMP) in agile software development (ASD). This exploratory-descriptive research with a qualitative approach carried out a literature review to establish the research proposition, that was refined and validated through a face/pilot test and controlled survey carried out with specialists and academics researchers by using the Delphi method. The research identifies a consensus of 90.4% among the specialists participating in the research, thus validating the established research proposition. At the end of this research, it was concluded that KMP can positively influence ASD and its elements can facilitate the activities, encourage the software development team to share their findings and that are relevant to companies and software teams, with the possibility of generating benefits when applied to the ASD process of these companies and teams.
