This paper presents the paintings of artist Ema M, pseudonym of Margarida Prieto. Her still lifes have brushes as theme. We will treat these works full of references to the art of painting, honored here through the brush, one of its key components: the painting itself, the still-life genre, the virtuosic effects simulation and mimesis, the economy as a strateg y densification.
