^lpt^aO artigo trata da poética de Ruth Sousa (Brasil, 1968) que através da criação de uma empresa fictícia propõe-se a atender desejos. Trataremos da relação entre arte e desejo, da fotografia como ficção e da inserção de práticas artísticas no quotidiano. Como possível conclusão, faremos uma relação do trabalho de Sousa com a questão proposta por Jeff Wall que, relendo Stendhal, vê a arte como promessa de algo melhor.^len^aThis article surveys the work of Ruth Sousa (Brazil, 1968) that, through the creation of a fictitious company aims to attempt desires. The text speaks about a link between art and desire, of photography and fiction and the insertion of other art practices in the real world. As a possible conclusion, we establish a relation of Sousa goals and a matter proposed by Jeff Wall that, reading Stendhal, face he art as a promise of something better.
