GARCIA ROTGER, Carmen Elena    HIDALGO VALENCIA, Isabel. The search for identity in the facilities and expressions of Eduardo Tokeshi, Peruvian visual artist. []. , 7, 14, pp.88-101. ISSN 1647-6158.

Peruvian visual artist Eduardo Tokeshi's work develops around two major subjects: identity and faith, that he expresses through the decontextualization of objects, which he rescues from their primitive applications and (re)defines by setting them up with other objects that symbolize ideas and beliefs. This interpretative value creates a symbolic and powerful language, playful and ironic, with which he communicates his socio identity structures that come from the influence of neo-pop and thus become conceptual art, with a mixture of figurative art and "chicha", as discussed in: "Life is a box" and "Life and miracles invisible man" series.

: faith; beliefs; belonging; identity; Nikkei; installation; boxes; appropriation; reinterpretation.
