^lpt^aDesde meados dos anos noventa, Nicola Costantino, com amplo domínio de técnicas combinadas de forma original, cria esculturas, instalações, vídeos e fotografias que cativam o olhar, alteram a percepção, causam uma reação física imediata, de deleite ou repulsa. Em seus trabalhos fotográficos, a personagem de suas composições, costuma ser ela própria. O objetivo deste texto é dar a conhecer o diálogo que Constantino estabelece com a obra dos Velhos Mestres, apropriando-se delas e recriando um novo contexto.^len^aSince the mid-nineties, Nicola Costantino, with a vast command of techniques combined in an original way, creates sculptures, installations, videos and photographs that captivate the eye, alter perception, cause an immediate physical reaction of delight or repulsion. In her photographic works, the character of her compositions is usually her own. The purpose of this text is to make known the dialogue that Constantine establishes with the work of the Old Masters, appropriating them and recreating a new context.
