^lpt^aO presente artigo desenvolve um breve panorama sobre a obra do importante pintor brasileiro contemporâneo Paulo Pasta, intencionamos também identificar suas motivações no desenvolvimento de seu percurso, suas referências, assim como as principais características de seu fazer artístico. Este trabalho, se apresenta em um momento muito desafiador, quando o artista, sempre em busca de uma coerência interna em seu trabalho, decide trazer de volta pinturas de paisagem de sua origem, de sua terra natal.^len^aThis article presents abrief overview on the work of the important contemporary Brazilian painter Paulo Pasta, also seeking to identify his motivations in the development of his career, his references, as well as the main characteristics of his artistic work. This work presents itself in a very challenging moment, when the artist, always in search of an internal coherence in his work, decides to bring back landscape paintings of his origin, of his native land.
