^lpt^aO objetivo deste artigo é discorrer sobre a natureza do desenho no contexto da exposição Cleaning up the vacuum, de António Olaio. Para isso articulamos textos e ideias de artistas e pesquisadores com os elementos plásticos da exposição. Como resultado obtemos uma análise sobre o referido trabalho artístico que conecta aspetos históricos, plásticos e conceituais. Conclui-se que a singularidade do desenho se encontra na própria ação dedesenhar, na potência da criação.^len^aThe purpose of this article is to discuss the nature of drawing in the context of the exhibition Cleaning up the vacuum, by António Olaio. For this we articulate texts and ideas of artists and researchers with the exhibition's plastic elements. As a result, we obtain an analysis of the art work that connects historical, plastic and conceptual aspects. We conclude that the singularity of the drawing lies in the very action of drawing, in the potency of creation.
