The goal of this article is to relate part of the sculptural creation of the Spanish contemporary artist Jaume Plensa, with the reflections of the German philosopher of the nineteenth century Martin Heidegger. Through the study of the concepts “idea” and “matter” in seven of his artworks, for which he uses text as a material, we will appreciate some correlations between “poetry” and “speech” on both, Heidegger and Plensa.
