O objetivo desse artigo é construir uma teoria do conhecimento turístico a partir do Congresso Criadores Sobre Outras Obras. Nos dez primeiros anos do evento buscamos em seus anais as palavras turismo, turista, viagem e viajante com a expectativa de encontrar opiniões que pudessem ser utilizadas para a nossa proposta de epistemologia do turismo pela arte. Para além do uso como substantivo ou figura de linguagem, interessou-nos reflexões desde a viagem como uma fase ou fundamento teórico do processo criativo até discussões críticas sobre o negócio turístico.

The aim of this paper is to develop a theory of tourism knowledge from the Criadores Sobre Outras Obras Congress. In the first ten years of the event we searched in their annals the words tourism, tourist, travel and traveler with the expectation of finding opinions that could be used for our proposal of epistemology of tourism through art. Beyond its use as anoun or figure of language, we were interested in reflections from travel as aphase or theoretical foundation of the creative process to critical discussions about the tourist business.
