MARTINS, Rosana Aparecida    RYAN, Holy. Instruments for visibility and subjectivities: art-action. []. , 29, pp.1-11. ISSN 2182-3030.  https://doi.org/10.7749/citiescommunitiesterritories.dec2014.029.art01.

This essay aims to analyze manifestations of urban street art in Brazil. It seeks to identify aspects that unify the artists and the structures in which they operate. The expansion of stylistic approaches and new areas of insertion/intervention are central to the analysis. Through art-action (defined as a politics of representation, negotiation and dialogue), the public space becomes a terrain of conflict where antagonisms can gain a crucial visibility. In this way, art-action mediates our social relations, transforms our prerogatives and allows for the emergence of alternative repertoires and world-views.

: public space; identity; new technologies; urban culture; activist art.
