Training of Nutritionists in Portugal has always had a strong emphasis on nutrition education and teaching skills for professionals in the field of communication. The analysis of the curricula of the only public institution that educate Portuguese Nutritionists allowed us to observe the evolution in this field over time. Despite this normative model has remained, we observed progressively a separation between academic training in data management and the training of nutritionists as leaders of the individual and then collective change. In the future, there is the need to integrate new technologies in these intervention models and position Nutritionists at the center of transforming action.
