ESTANQUE, Elísio    COSTA, Hermes Augusto. Work and Inequalities in the 21st Century: Old and New Lines of Analysis. []. , spe2018, pp.261-290. ISSN 2182-7435.  https://doi.org/10.4000/rccs.7947.

Recognizing that national and international studies on work, inequalities and classes can be analyzed in an articulated way, this article reviews some of the theoretical traditions that have arisen in these areas, in conjunction with more recent studies on Portuguese society. In addition to normative frameworks that shape the labour context in Portugal, this article seeks to combine the more general sociological reflection with some of the lines of research – in which, by the way, precariousness seems omnipresent –, especially those developed in the PhD program in Labour Relations, Social Inequalities and Trade Unionism that the authors coordinate via the Centre for Social Studies and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra.

: inequalities; job insecurity; social classes; sociology of work; syndicalism.
