O artigo analisa a incidência de assédio moral nas redações de jornalismo digital com cobertura em tempo real. Baseado em entrevistas semiestruturadas com 15 repórteres que atuavam em veículos de comunicação brasileiros com sede no Estado de São Paulo, o estudo discute como a aceleração dos regimes de publicação produz consequências negativas à saúde dos profissionais. 12 dos 15 entrevistados relataram terem sido vítimas de assédio moral nas empresas em que trabalhavam. A pesquisa permite constatar que o encurtamento dos tempos de produção de notícia favorece a naturalização do assédio nas redações, frequentemente racionalizado pelos próprios entrevistados como efeito colateral da urgência da cobertura em tempo real. Por esta razão, reforça-se a importância de investigar as reestruturações no mercado jornalístico também a partir de seus impactos nas condições de trabalho e na saúde dos comunicadores.

This article analyzes the incidence of moral harassment in digital journalism newsrooms with a 24-hour news cycle. Based on semi-structured interviews with 15 journalists who have worked in Brazilian news media located in the State of São Paulo, the study discusses how the news cycle’s speed-up has adverse consequences on journalists’ health. 12 out of 15 respondents reported having been victims of moral harassment in the organizations whose they worked. This research shows that the shortening of the news cycle favors the naturalization of the harassment on newsrooms - often rationalized by the very reporters as a side effect of the 24-hour news cycle. For this reason, the importance of investigating restructurings in the journalistic market is also reinforced by its impacts on the work conditions and journalists’ health.
