Dermatitis herpetiformis is a rare recurrent cutaneous bullous disease associated with sensitivity to gluten. It manifests with cyclic rashes, intensely pruritic, erythematous papules or urticariform plaques and groups of vesicles or tight bubbles, reaching mainly the extensor surfaces symmetrically. It occurs as a cutaneous manifestation of celiac disease, affecting between 15 and 25 % of these patients. The clinical case describes a diagnosis of celiac disease, manifested in adulthood, whose only form of manifestation was dermatitis herpetiformis.
