THIRY-CHERQUES, Hermano. Individualism, Brazilian Way: roots and propositions. []. , 7, 1, pp.12-23. ISSN 1645-4464.

This paper brings the assumption that the individualism of Brazilian organizations is part of a legacy of the Portuguese culture from the age of the Expansion. The paper argues that now, in the era of globalization and universal management approaches, by understanding this Portuguese-derived individualism we would be able to better run our organizations. To achieve such understanding, this paper discusses some of the aspects of common heritage from data and printouts gathered on researches on the ethical profile of Brazilian executives and on individualized work approaches.

: Individualism; Work; Management; Rationality.
