In this descriptive study, we try to diagnose the environmental management in a port of the State of Santa Catarina. Through analysis of environmental audit reports and responses collected by a structured questionnaire directed to the responsible of environmental engineering of the port studied, the model was applied EDE (Environmental Disclousure and Evaluation), to identify the level of environmental sustainability recommended by ISO 14000 that establish the levels of excellence, market and compromising. This research can contribute to the improvement of sustainability, promoting activities economically viable without compromising future generations. We conclude that there is a commitment from the port studied, with a global valuation of 58.93 points in all its administrative structure, as the prevention of the environment, the dynamism in the adoption and application of measures and procedures for the management environment.
