A mundividência das comunidades africanas, de valorização da interdependência num contexto de sincretismo, miscigenação e hibridação cultural está intimamente ligada aos valores atuais que o turismo apregoa. A reflexão que se apresenta tem como objetivo contribuir na consolidação da narrativa factual de conexão entre a cultura e turismo e sustentar a necessidade do continente africano reconfigurar a sua identidade cultural para conectar-se melhor com a atividade turística. Para o efeito, foi efetuada uma análise e revisão da literatura e procedeu-se a sintetização de conteúdos de livros e artigos científicos relacionados com as palavras-chave, onde se concluiu que a afirmação de África como ator relevante universal passa por projetar a sua própria trajetória, sendo o turismo um instrumento fundamental para essa afirmação.

The worldview of African communities, valuing interdependence in a context of syncretism, miscegenation and cultural hybridization, is closely linked to the current values that tourism proclaims. The present reflection aims to contribute to the consolidation of the factual narrative of the connection between culture and tourism and to support the need for the African continent to reconfigure its cultural identity to better connect with the tourist activity. For this purpose, a literature review and analysis was carried out and the contents of books and scientific articles related to the keywords were synthesized, where it is concluded that the affirmation of Africa as a relevant universal actor involves projecting its own trajectory, with tourism being an important instrument for this affirmation.
