Condutas agressivas na adolescência: Factores de risco e de protecção (*)

RESUMO
Este artigo apresenta vários modelos explicativos do facto da adolescência ser o período da vida em que se correm mais riscos, em termos de saúde, vida e problemas com o sistema jurídico-legal. Salienta-se o modelo de Jessor, por equacionar factores de risco e protecção quer no indivíduo, quer no seu ambiente, descrevendo-se com algum detalhe esses factores e relacionando-os com as descobertas que várias investigações de diferentes autores têm revelado nos últimos anos. Conclui-se pela pertinência do referido modelo para a compreensão, previsão e prevenção da emergência de condutas agressivas nos adolescentes.

ABSTRACT
This article presents several theoretical approaches to explain the fact that adolescence is the period of life where more risks are taken, concerning to health, life and problems with the legal system. We emphasize Jessor approach, because it delineate risk and protector factors in the individual and in his environment, we describe with some detail those factors and related them with the findings that several researches from different authors had revealed in the last years. We conclude that Jessor approach is very pertinent to understand, predict and prevent the emergence of aggressive conduct in adolescents.
