Millennium - Journal of Education, Technologies and Health, publishes its number 15. Multidisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity are the main characteristics in the research papers that make up this publication, in the areas of Engineering, Technology, Management and Tourism, Education and Social Development, Sciences of Life and Health and Agricultural, Food and Veterinary Sciences.

In the Education and Social Development section, we find the paper “Promotion of autonomy and self-regulation in higher education students - construction of a teaching and learning module within the scope of the project Interdisciplinary Collaborative Approaches to Learning and Teaching””, which seeks to highlight the innovative character of dimension of integrated learning of a foreign language and a content (Content and Language Integrated Learning)- CLIL) and collaboration between higher education teachers in planning learning modules and teaching materials based on an interdisciplinary design and intervention.

The Life and Health Sciences section includes the following researches: “Effectiveness of nursing simulation in student learning”, that evaluates the effectiveness of simulated practices in the learning of undergraduate and graduate nursing students; “The path of post-myocardial infarction patients in search of the optimization of their health condition” which, through a descriptive qualitative research, shows that the delay in recognizing the signs and symptoms of acute myocardial infarction, which prevented the prompt search for health care; “A systematic review of cardiovascular risk management interventions among people living in the community with chronic illness”, systematizing the components of cardiovascular risk management programs for people with chronic illness in the community, as well as the behavioural change techniques used; “Interventions for family members or caregivers of patients taking part in a cardiac rehabilitation program: Scoping Review Protocol”, focusing on mapping of the interventions to the caregiver of people with heart disease; and “The impact of mobile applications on self-care for people with heart failure: a systematic review of the literature”, that explores the effectiveness of these applications in self-care.

The Engineering, Technology, Management and Tourism section as two articles: “The intervention of the judiciary regarding the State omission in guaranteeing the right to health: the judicialization of health”, where the importance and effectiveness of urgent protection in the guarantee of the right to health is assessed, aiming to identify the causes that lead to omission in guaranteeing the right to health; and “Incarcerated elderly: expectations in relation to the future”, which seeks to understand the expectations of the incarcerated elderly in relation to the future, after serving their sentence.

Finally, the Agricultural, Food and Veterinary Sciences section includes the article “The Chestnut moth, Cydis splendana (Hübner) (Lepidoptera: Torticidae) in Portugal” which contributes to an in-depth knowledge of the biology of the chestnut moth and its economic impact.
