Temáticas centrais implicadas na vivência da infecção por VIH/sida

Resumo: Neste artigo tem como objectivo principal a apresentação das reacções psicológicas a infecção por VIH/SIDA através da identificação das temáticas organizadoras da vivência desta doença. Assim, serão apresentadas sete temáticas centrais: a quem revelar a condição de sero-positividade, discriminação, dependência/perda de autonomia, vivência da sexualidade, cuidados médicos, planos para o futuro e confronto com a morte. Estas temáticas permitem uma abordagem mais abrangente no que se refere à avaliação da adaptação de cada seropositivo/doente com SIDA à infecção por VIH.

Main themes implicated in experience of HIV positive and aids patients

Abstract: This article has the primary goal the presentation of the psychological reactions of HIV positive and AIDS through the identification of the main themes of the disease. It ill be presented seven main themes: Who to reveal the condition of being HIV positive; Discrimination; Dependency/loss of autonomy; Sexuality; Medical care; Plans for the future and Confrontation with death. These themes allow un approach more comprehensive when we considered the assessement of the adaptation of each HIV positive/patient with AIDS.
