Abstract

ROBERTO, Sérgio Ruffo; COLOMBO, Larissa Abgariani  and  ASSIS, Adriane Marinho de. Review: Protect Cultivation In Viticulture. Ciência Téc. Vitiv. [online]. 2011, vol.26, n.1, pp.11-16. ISSN 0254-0223.

The grapes production under protected cultivation has been proposed as an alternative to mitigate the damage by bad weather, especially in regions where the incidence of rain is concentrated on the stage of fruit development and maturation, since the increased costs of production of table grapes has been affected mainly by the intense need to control fungal diseases such as downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola). This review presents an approach to protect cultivation in viticulture, with a focus on climatic aspects and materials used to cover the vineyards.

Keywords : grape; plastic sheeting; microclimate; productivity.
