The present essay presents a way of conceiving a relation of inseparability between a person and her own life. This kind of relation will turn out to be an alternative to Diderot’s intuition that a person is a succession of necessary effects. The resulting idea is a connection between the relation one has with one’s own life and the way we choose to explain such life.
