The purpose of this paper is to examine the pathway of Hannah Arendt´s philosophical thought, since her roots in German Classical Philosophy, up to her own contribution on the distinction between vita contemplative and vita activa. The essay has two sections: the first one is an approach of vita contemplativa, where sheis still influenced by German Classical Philosophy and the second part is the beginning of her own contribution regarding the political world, where she locates the vita activa.
