This article is an homage-synthesis of Don Miguel de Unamuno´s figure in conmemoration of his 150th anniversary. From a testimonial point of view, for those who knew him, he had a singular personality plagued by mystical raptures, imaginative obsession and longing for transcendence. His attempts to make sense of life can be summed up in an effort to rationalize the faith to make it a matter of practical reason. Amid the way, he met with the anguish, agony and uncertainty impassable threshold of human knowledge. Hence the multipurpose nature of their works made him works like novelist, philosopher, essayist and even guide by lands of Spain and Portugal. It was an intellectual capable of awakening consciousness and consider questions that do not leave indifferent any reader who approaches his work. Through this paper, I intend to make a brief analysis of its most significant milestones as well as a reflection on the relationship with Portugal Unamuno, especially with Teixeira de Pascoaes.
