Resumen

TOME, Maria da Conceição Dinis. Echoes of the holocaust in portuguese young adult or children’s literature. Diacrítica [online]. 2014, vol.28, n.3, pp.121-141. ISSN 0807-8967.

The Holocaust literature, consisting of testimonies of survivors and fictional literary productions, has been playing an important role in understanding this historic event since the end of World War II, and particularly since the 1990s. In this article, from studies on the ideology (Hollindale, 1992; Stephens, 1992), we aim to uncover the ideological positions conveyed in contemporary young adult and children’s contemporary young adult literature about the Holocaust by Portuguese writers.

Palabras clave : Literature; Holocaust; ideology; memory.
