Abstract

FRAGATA, Fernando de Loureiro  and  ORDINE, Alberto Pires. Anticorrosive performance of paint systems containing zinc dust pigmented powder primers. Corros. Prot. Mater. [online]. 2009, vol.28, n.2, pp.55-64. ISSN 0870-1164.

This work shows the results of a study in which its aim was to evaluate the anticorrosive performance of paint systems, containing zinc dust pigmented powder primers and to compare such performance to the one presented by traditional paint systems containing zinc rich primers. The study concerned not only the accomplishment of tests with the paint systems, but also the individual evaluation of the primers pigmented with zinc dust powder. Electrochemical and corrosion resistance tests were carried out under different conditions of exposure and aggressiveness.

Keywords : Powder Primers; Zinc; Anticorrosive Performance.
