Using maritime pine plots growing in the Mata Nacional de Leiria, we set out to identify combinations of plant class quality indicators for maritime pine. To accomplish this purpose, a vegetation inventory was carried out and the data analysed by the TWINSPAN divisive polythetic classification method, and by the Newman-Keuls multiple test for means comparison. We came to the conclusion that the determination of class quality species was, in this case, only partially possible in low environment disturbance situations.
