In the present paper silvicultural topics that have more interest for the sustainable management of cork oak stands in Spain have been summarised. Some considerations on silvicultural aspects practised in Spanish cork oak stands are carried out: regeneration, density, thickness, striping rotation period, cut rotation period trying to consider the real problems in each case, and to offer the maximum available information about it.
