The aim of this paper is to select an individual tree volume equation to be used for volume estimation of Pinus pinaster Aiton trees from Oitava Forest, in Serra da Lousã. At the tree level, determination coefficients (R²) of the selected models taking values up from 97%, show a strong relationship between individual tree volume (v) and the explanatory variables - diameter at breast height (d) and total height (h). Final model presents an adjusted determination coefficient (R²_aj) of 97.9%.
