The results reported in this paper are related to some common questions from two different studies and belong to a larger research project on social representations of music, death and suicide among Portuguese adolescents, from Lisbon. Analysing the results, we emphasize the effects of the variables sex and age group on the suicide ideation, death ideation, risk-taking behaviours, self-mutilation behaviours and on the suicide attempts. Though this data analysis is mainly descriptive, we proceed to some comments about it's implications on the prevention of suicidal behaviours. And we point out to the research lines we pretend to continue developing, aiming a larger comprehension of the complex phenomenon of adolescent suicide.
