The present study has been achieved in order to characterize and to show the difference between young bullies and their victims in Portuguese schools. It is an analysis on a national representative sample of bullying behaviours in Portuguese schools by adapting the Portuguese questionnaire on «Health Behaviours in School-aged Children». The results confirm other studies, taking in account the differences between sex, age and scholarship. The younger boys and those with lower scholarship are more involved in bullying. The characteristics of bullies and their victims are confirmed, as referred in existing literature, and the causes for bullying and victimization behaviours are described.
