Resumen

RAMOS, Vera; CARVALHO, Cláudia Constante  y  LEAL, Isabel Pereira. Atitudes e comportamentos sexuais de mulheres universitárias: A hipótese do duplo padrão sexual. Aná. Psicológica [online]. 2005, vol.23, n.2, pp.173-185. ISSN 0870-8231.

The exploratory study presented in this article analyses the perception of young university students concerning the changes in the pre-marital sexual standard of behaviour. The objective of the investigation was not only to understand the personal thoughts concerning the attitudes and sexual behaviour of both genders but also the perception towards the social judgements related to attitudes and sexual behaviour of both genders. With that purpose it was used the "Sexual Double Standard Evaluation Questionnaire" (Milhausen & Herold, 2001) with a sample of 142 young women, single, heterosexual with ages between 18 and 24 years old. The conclusions reached in the investigation showed that a majority of the young women supported a sexual script based in a single sexual standard applied to both genders, while they perceived the predominance of a sexual double standard in the judgement made by other members of society.

Palabras clave : Sexual attitudes; sexual behaviour; premarital sexuality; sexual scripts; sexual double standard; single sexual standard; reverse sexual standard.
