Abstract

AMARO, Pedro. The deficient information increase the pesticides risks in Portugal. Rev. de Ciências Agrárias [online]. 2010, vol.33, n.2, pp.272-284. ISSN 0871-018X.

The pesticide risk could be acceptable if mitigation measures decided by EU are adopted. In Portugal that problematic is quite difficult in consequence of graves illegalities, as the CATPF 5 years not working and the systematic practice, at official level (ex: DGPC/DGADR and Warning Service) and at pesticides suppliers, of a political to hide the information that is essential to: the pesticides selection of the less dangerous to human health and the environment; the knowledge of indispensable and appropriate measures to reduce those risks as much as possible; and the level of education and training of technicians and farmers.
