Resumen

NOGUEIRA, Sônia R.; LIMA, Fábia S. O.; ROCHA, Edivan M.  y  ARAUJO, Diego H. M.. Fungicides in fusariosis pineaple control in the state of Tocantins, Brazil. Rev. de Ciências Agrárias [online]. 2014, vol.37, n.4, pp.447-455. ISSN 0871-018X.

Pineapple production has a great economic importance in the state of Tocantins, with a high percentage in the composition of the state GDP. However, since 1998, when was reported, plantings are suffering significant production losses. In order to control this disease several measures should be adopted. This research aimed to evaluate the fungicides azoxystrobin+cyproconazole, carboxin+thiram, tebuconazole and methyl thiophanate in different concentrations for fusariosis control in field and in vitro tests. Results showed that all fungicides were efficient for the control of the disease on the field. It was not noticed any resistance of fungus isolates in relation to the evaluated fungicides, and the smaller concentrations of the products were efficient in the complete inhibition of mycelial growth rate. However, after the application of some fungicides and dosages, results demonstrated a negative effect on important agronomic characteristics for commercialization, such as fruit size, weight and appearance, which may interfere in quality and total productivity of the crop. Through this study was possible to conclude that the adoption of a set of measures in fusariosis control is necessary. The study also revealed that the expansion of integrated management practices is important for the maintenance of the activity in the region and that the chemical control must be included when really necessary.
