Resumen

TEODORO, Paulo E. et al. Soil preparation systems and nitrogen fertilization in the productive components of millet. Rev. de Ciências Agrárias [online]. 2015, vol.38, n.3, pp.305-309. ISSN 0871-018X.

The objective of this study was to identify the soil preparation system and dose of nitrogen (N) in coverage that provides addition on productive components of millet. The study was conducted in the experimental area of the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul - University Unit of Aquidauna, in experimental design of randomized blocks with four replications in a split plot design. In the plots were evaluated two soil preparation systems: minimum tillage - subsoiling + leveling - and no-tillage. Each plot was divided into five subplots with application of different doses of nitrogen in covering (0, 50, 100, 150 e 200 kg ha-1). The traits measured were: plant height (AP), length of spikelet (CE), number of tillers (NP), dry mass of millet (MS) and grain yield (PROD). The amount of N applied in millet influenced the plant height and length of spikelet, being recommended, based on these variables, the dose of 150 kg ha-1 N. The no tillage system provided greater production of dry mass of millet. The dose of N to be applied, based on the number of tillers per m², depends on the soil preparation system used.

Palabras clave : productive components; minimum tillage; no-tillage; Pennisetum glaucum L..
