Resumen

TAVARES, Taynar et al. Adaptability and stability of grain production in common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris). Rev. de Ciências Agrárias [online]. 2017, vol.40, n.2, pp.210-220. ISSN 0871-018X.  https://doi.org/10.19084/RCA16058.

This study aimed to evaluate the grain productivity stability and adaptability of common bean cultivars, cultivated in six environments, in the south of the Tocantins State (Brazil). The experiments were conducted during the intercropping dry season of three consecutive years, with randomized blocks and four repetitions. Six cultivars of common bean, IAC-Una, BRS-Esplendor, Princesa, IPR-Colibri, IAC-Centauro and Safira were studied. The Eberhart and Russell, Centroid and Annicchiarico methods were used to evaluate the stability and adaptability of the grain productivity. It was concluded that all the methodologies allowed identifying cultivars for environments of general and specific conditions (favorable and unfavorable). The common bean cultivars IAC Centauro, IAC Una and Princesa are suitable for general environmental conditions, considering their productivity, wide adaptability and stability in the off season.

Palabras clave : Phaseolus vulgaris L.; cultivar interaction x environment; improvement.
