Abstract

GAVIRAGHI, Lucas et al. Nitrogen sources associated with Azospirillum brasilense: impact on growth and yield maize. Rev. de Ciências Agrárias [online]. 2022, vol.45, n.3, pp.31-40.  Epub Sep 13, 2022. ISSN 0871-018X.  https://doi.org/10.19084/rca.27168.

The corn crop is extremely dependent on nitrogen for high yields, making necessary studies that benefit the efficiency of this nutrient. Therefore, this work evaluated the effects of inoculation with the bacterium Azospirillum brasilense associated with mineral fertilization and poultry litter as management strategies of nitrogen fertilization for corn. Treatments were organized in random blocks, and identified as: T1 - Control; T2 - A. brasilense; T3 - 100% mineral N (180 kg ha-1); T4 - 50% mineral N + A. brasilense; T5 - 50% mineral N + 50% poultry litter + A. brasilense and T6 - 50% mineral N + 50% poultry litter. The best grain yields were when using fertilization with mineral fertilizer and also when using mineral fertilizer and poultry litter in the same proportion. In corn, the use of Azospirillum brasilense associated or not with poultry litter and mineral fertilization in the form of urea was not efficient on primary and secondary yield components and on the final productivity of corn grains.
