New techniques and advanced analysis tools must be rapidly incorporated into courses with a strong technological basis, such as Engineering, without compromising, however, the time constraints that they face. That challenge was the starting point of the research described in this paper. Its aim was to explore and evaluate pedagogical alternatives based on hypermedia resources and learning styles models. They were used to complement the traditional methods applied to a Transportation Planning course in Civil Engineering, as well as the previous content. The results found suggest that the alternatives proved to be helpful in the improvement of the traditional methods while promoting positive results in the overall learning process.
