PIASETZKI, Cláudia Thomé da Rosa; BOFF, Eva Teresinha de Oliveira  y  ANASTACIO, Zélia Ferreira Caçador. Food and nutrition education: A possibility for teamwork. Rev. Port. de Educação [online]. 2023, vol.36, n.1, e23012.  Epub 17-Mayo-2023. ISSN 0871-9187.  https://doi.org/10.21814/rpe.26059.

The objective of this article is to analyze a formative process from the perspective of the development of a teamwork aimed at food and nutrition education - EAN - of children from two public schools. The intention was to deepen the debate on the thematic, as well as to assist in the process of understanding the issue and develop alternative pedagogical practices in the early years, including EAN as part of the school curriculum. The process involved teachers, school management team, staff and family members of a Preschool and of an Elementary School of a small town in the interior of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The methodology is qualitative, and data were obtained from formative meetings and interviews with teachers of basic education, which were audio recorded, transcribed and analyzed based on textual discourse analysis. From the corpus analysis, three categories emerged: a) school meals articulated to disciplinary content; b) imitation as a way of learning; c) formation of concepts of EAN. This study demonstrates that EAN actions need to be systematic and that teamwork enables the articulation of knowledge from different areas of knowledge. It is considered that the teacher influences the children’s eating habits, but it is important that the theme is articulated with scientific knowledge from the context of knowledge of children's experiences.
