Abstract

SANTOS, Maria Conceição Pereira dos. Drug hypersensitivity - In vitro diagnosis: An update. Rev Port Imunoalergologia [online]. 2016, vol.24, n.2, pp.93-97. ISSN 0871-9721.

Adverse drug reactions (ADR) represent a frequent problem in medical routine. Drug hypersensitivity relies on different pathomecanisms: immune-mediated (drug allergy) and nonimmune-mediated. In both types of reaction in vitro tests are of great interest, due to possible reduction of drug provocation tests that are timing consuming and potentially hazardous. Here we focus in the cellular in vitro tests that can play an important role in the identification of the causative drug

Keywords : Allergy; cellular tests; drug hypersensitivity.
