To improve the knowledge and management of anaphylaxis in Portugal, the Portuguese Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (SPAIC) interest group on “Anaphylaxis and Fatal Immunoallergic Diseases” (GANDALF) has produced several educational materials. On this educational page GANDALF presents the poster “Anaphylaxis: Diagnosis and Management” and the anaphylaxis’ emergency plans. The first includes anaphylaxis diagnostic criteria and a treatment algorithm to be used by health professionals, and the later contains guidance for anaphylaxis management in the community setting and instructions for adrenaline auto-injector use; it’s designed to be used by patients, parents and care-takers without medical training.
