Introduction: The relationship between the adolescent and his chronic illness is complex and causes imbalance in his biopsychosocial development. Adolescence constitutes a critical stage with changes that may affect and be affected by illnesses, regardless its specificity. Case Report: Sixteen year-old male with Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome presenting depressive and anxious symptoms and poor therapeutic adherence, in relation to his poor adjustment to the disease, with physic, psychic and social impact. Conclusion: Physical and psychological changes during adolescence pose increased challenges to the management of chronic illness. Therefore, health services should understand its global impact specially on life quality and well-being perception - and adress this issue with the patients.
