QUINTELA, Pedro  y  GUERRA, Paula. Social sciences, archives and memories: considerations on the subject of contemporary urban music cultures. Sociologia [online]. 2017, vol.33, pp.155-181. ISSN 0872-3419.  https://doi.org/10.21747/08723419/soc33a8.

In recent years, there has been a growing interest in independent self publish editions, and in do-it- yourself (DIY) practices of production and distribution. This is reflected in a renewed attention on DIY production methods; in an increased exposure and consumption of these objects; and in the interest from academia and some cultural institutions for analyzing and preserving this kind of underground production. This article proposes an analysis of these processes, discussing its meaning and the challenges they set to social scientists. Some of these reflections are empirically illustrate with the process of development and promotion of a punk archive, developed within the research project Keep it Simple, Make it Fast

Palabras clave : archive; memory; do-it-yourself (DIY).
