Abstract

VILAS-BOAS, Andreia  and  FIRMINO-MACHADO, João. Clinical Research Bootcamp: New Ways to Learn Clinical Research. Medicina Interna [online]. 2016, vol.23, n.4, pp.61-64. ISSN 0872-671X.

Clinical research is a major contributor to medical and scientific development. Young doctors frequently limit their participation in the clinical research setting due to their engagement in time consuming clinical issues, and due to the lack of proper education in research methodologies. Clinical Research Bootcamp was created to answer these questions and also to guide young doctors throughout the preparation of a clinical research study. This course helps young doctors to acquire practical skills that will motivate them to engage in research scenarios. Structured in order to guide the students throughout the various stages of planning, execution and scientific communication of a study, this course provides an integrated view of clinical research.
