The present article is a reflexion exercise from the resident point of view about the evolution of the speciality, since its past, going through the present and thinking about the future. The goal is to promote the reflexion and discussion between peers about the evolution of the speciality, the common goals for the future and also the urgent need for a revision of the training and curriculum in this medical field.
